I would like to talk about commercials. 2 have really caught my eye lately.
First is for the network FX and their new show "Sons of anarchy" At first, I thought it looked cool, Ron Pearlman (Hellboy, Blade2, Beast- from beauty and the..). The commercial shows a bike club riding along side a guy in a jeep. Jeep guy says "I can't look the other way on this one" To which lead biker guy( Wearing a jacket thats clearly says Sons of anarchy) replies, "Were all free men protected by the constitution, you can look whatever way you want chief." Now......are they sons of anarchy, or do they hide behind the constitution?
The second is a commercial for Pizza huts new pasta menu, it shows the "hidden camera" view of a restaurant. People eating and talking, and theres a caption at the bottom that reads "REAL PEOPLE" Real people eh? Sooooo...their not androids or C.G.I.? Of course their real people, it doesn't say their not actors, that's the funny part. And kind of relating to this, but not really, I was watching the independent film channel the other day and there was a commercial for some IFC program, and all through out the commercial was plastered "Target" logos and advertisements. Nothing says independent like cooperate sponsorship.
I hate to sound negative and bitchy, but I'm not the smartest guy to ever walk the earth...no no.....its true, And I think to myself either "I would make a fortune in Hollywood, I could make a better commercial then that" or "Man, I have way to much time on my hands."
